Multiplying Leaders

Multiplying Leaders

With Tom Wood | Church Multiplication Ministries

Live from Sydney, 12:15 pm Thursday 30 August 2018

We were joined by Tom Wood from Church Multiplication Ministries, a ministry to leaders so that they multiply the gospel in their spheres of influence. Tom has planted and pastored two churches, was the founding director of North GA Church Planting Network (renamed Metro Atlanta Collective) and has served as Director of Church Planting for a church-planting network (PMI) in Atlanta.

This webinar started the conversation of how we can see men and women equipped and unleashed as missional leaders of Gods people.

  • What are some of the challenges of developing and multiplying leaders around New Zealand?
  • How can we put in place a leadership development pipeline in jour churches?
  • Growing leaders of character – why is it important and how can we grow leaders in the area of character?
  • What stops us from developing and unleashing leaders, and how can we move past that?

Thanks to City To City Australia for their partnership in running this webinar.

Building Momentum for Mission

Building Momentum for Mission

With Lee Murray | Establish Church

Live from Auckland Bible Church, 12 pm – 2 pm Wednesday 23 May

We are pleased to partner with Grace Theological College to provide a working lunch on the topic of building momentum for mission in our churches.

Over lunch we will look at a case study of Establish Church that was planted in Australia in 2015 with a small core team – what can we learn from their experience and how can we apply some of the theologically driven principles to our own churches. This working lunch is for church leaders, pastors, and elders who long to cultivate a culture of evangelism in their churches.

  • What are the blockages that prevent more effective mission across our churches?
  • How can we equip our members and gifted evangelists to create momentum for mission?
  • How prayerful and engaged are our congregations with the task – and how can that be developed?

THE MULTICULTURAL FACE OF MISSION

How do we reach an increasingly multicultural society with the gospel?

More than 25% of New Zealander’s were born overseas. Last year 60,000 permanent and long term migrants made NZ their home and this is projected to increase. In God’s great kindness the nations are coming to us – how can we hold out the gospel of life to our increasingly multicultural society?

Join us in to draw from the experience of Steve Maina, National Director of New Zealand Church Missionary Society (NZCMS) and his experience of seeing the Gospel proclaimed in different cultural contexts all around the world. He will be joined by a panel of local church leaders to dig into how their churches are working to engage the nations that have come to our doorstep with the Gospel.

  • What are the opportunities we have for reaching the nations that have come to NZ?
  • Where are our cultural blind spots that inhibit gospel growth?
  • How can we change anything apart from the gospel to remove and stumbling blocks for people from other cultures?

The Missional Church | Gary Millar – The goal of the mission of God

Talk 3 of 3  – The goal of the mission of God

We have a great and merciful God who has been at work around New Zealand extending His Kingdom, evangelising churches into existence. In April 2016 we gathered to celebrate what God has been doing and to prepare for future church planting. Together we were encouraged by the stories of how God has been at work in the different denominations; we opened God’s word to be reminded and refocused on our task of taking the Gospel to the nations; we learned from one another how theologically driven practice has seen Gospel growth; we dreamed about, and prayed for God to pour out his mercy in Aotearoa.

We were joined by Gary Millar, principal of Queensland Theological College, to unpack from the book of Acts
